storyline
To become a man, a young Viking must capture a dragon. Hiccup shoots down and injures a dragon, but cannot bring himself to kill it. Instead he makes friends with the beast and calls it Toothless. Hiccup learns to train the dragon and tries to convince the other Vikings that dragons are not their enemies after all.
